Pimatic approach to sustainability revolves around three major topics: environment, personnel and leadership.
Environment
We strive for reducing environmental impact and utilizing all materials as efficiently as possible. We are committed to recycling of raw materials, as well as sorting and recycling waste properly and in an environmentally sound manner.
Pimatic has made a commitment to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions by 20 % from 2019 to 2030. We have been participating in the Technology Industries of Finland’s carbon footprint calculation since 2023. The energy and the water consumption as well as waste volumes have been monitored continuously since 2008.
Pimatic has an extensive supply chain and we require commitment to environmental targets and to ethical conduct from our suppliers.
Personnel
Pimatic carries out employee work satisfaction surveys on a regular basis and launches and monitors actions based on the results. Safety at work is managed actively, with a target set to zero accidents. Pimatic rewards the personnel for making safety notifications. In addition to safety at work, health aspects receive special attention demonstrated by the early intervention scheme, extensive work occupational services and a comprehensive health insurance coverage.
Pimatic strives to promote equity across all professional groups. Ethical pracises are encouraged by advising employees to bring to the employer’s attention concerns regarding activities appearing as against the law or against the company guidelines. Any concerns may be discussed with a manager or reported anonymously using the whistleblowing service.
Sustainability Management
The company’s management team is responsible for the finance, the people and the environment. The owners’ and the employees’ insights are taken into account when deciding on the best possible governance. The members of governing bodies and the management team make decisions independently, respecting the company’s interests and avoiding conflicts of interest. The company’s Board of Directors actively monitors and updates the company’s operations, the values and the strategy.
The management of the company sets the targets and the indicator levels for the jointly agreed and regularly monitored sustainability themes. Pimatic pays 100% of its taxes to Finland. The company offers summer jobs to the local youth.
